For 7 weeks, the school stalled. For 15 years, victims waited. Lubaszka faces up to 20 years behind bars as new revelations expose his secrets inside a DTLA apartment, while Hadari Oshri built a Malibu mirage through PPE deals. We bring you the series that a Los Angeles court ruled we have the right to publish. This year, La Cronista has filed 8 FBI’s IC3 reports for attacks on our infrastructure.

Const. Art. I, § 2(b); California Evidence Code § 1070). La Cronista no renuncia a ningún privilegio o derecho al proceder a su difusión.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: On June 22, 2021, Hadari Oshri –Marc Lubaszka’s business partner– filed a frivolous civil harassment restraining order (CHRO) against me to stop the publication of my investigative series “A Special Report: The Harrowing Impunity of White-Collar Crime,” and any subsequent installments or future media coverage. On August 3, 2021, I filed an anti-SLAPP motion to strike Oshri’s CHRO petition. In a hearing held on September 13, 2021, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Doreen Boxer granted my anti-SLAPP motion and denied Oshri’s civil harassment petition for failure to sustain the applicable burden of proof. CA’s powerful anti-SLAPP statute mandates that the losing party, in this case Oshri, pay the prevailing party’s attorney’s fees. She also declined to go on a recorded interview or provide statements via email. This multi-part series is available in Investor News and La Cronista.

At Portland High, Marc Lubaszka’s former business partner, Dylan Rottkov, is still blowing the whistle and mentoring students on the football field. Nearly seven weeks after school officials became first aware of its head football coach Rottkov’s past business ties to the gold broker, silence and deflection have become the norm at the progressive school. Instead of transparency, administrators spent weeks hiding behind closed doors —only to cough up an eleventh-hour document dump just as this story was locked for publication. Those withheld records will be dissected in a separate, future installment.

For a school that prides itself on serving economically disadvantaged families and ethnic minorities, the stalling, silence and bureaucratic tactics represent a breach of trust of the same communities they purport to serve and boast about in publicity materials —a decision that may later metastasize into a political storm with social repercussions.

The silence epidemic has also spread to the eight school board members. While one member replied that only the chair can speak for the board, not a single one has broken ranks to address their individual accountability toward the community they represent —an evasive move that confirms where their priorities lie. Shielding the public from the truth has become their default, forcing the filing of two separate complaints to Maine’s ombudsman in a single week. Following those interventions, the ombudsman confirmed the district was finally waiving any fees attached to our

The school and the district, however, are far from stopping what’s already unfolding —even as they hide behind administrative lockdowns and a gagged board. Their stalling maneuvers are especially egregious because Lubaszka has been charged this year with tampering with public records or information, theft and money laundering by the state of Montana, where Buy Gold Brightly, Trade Safe Pro and A1A Management were registered and later dissolved. Lubaszka, for now, faces multiple felony counts. One of those alleged crimes carries up to 20 years in jail; others, up to 10.

Following his usual playbook, the broker was operating under a new fake flamboyant identity, Sir Michael Montgomery Morgan IV, portraying himself as a highly educated billionaire and an alleged member of the JP Morgan family.

Court records filed by the state of Montana —which reference our years-long investigative coverage of Lubaszka’s and his network’s alleged schemes— show that in February 2024, Lubaszka legally changed his name in Nevada. He then obtained new IDs, Social Security cards, a P.O. Box in Helena, MT, using a fake Georgia driver’s license, and a Montana ID using a fake lease agreement.

Leading up to his 2026 arrest, he was living a lavish lifestyle of international travel that he broadcasted on an eccentric online blog also featuring “K,” a nurse he met on a dating site as “Marky Mark” in late December 2021, according to K’s own account. The site features various grotesque claims, results from a fake lie detector test and multiple videos, some of which were filmed overseas and show a man and a woman hiding their faces behind large hats and sunglasses. They never look at the camera. Outlandish, to say the least.

Shortly after they met, Lubaszka moved into K’s “nice” Malibu home, she says. According to her statement, she bought Lubaszka two Lamborghinis and gave him $200K to market her healthcare business. K believed he would one day become her financial provider and relocate with him to his alleged palace in Rome, Italy. The couple traveled to Italy twice —both times, on her dime.

In 2025, K’s dreams went up in flames. She lost her Malibu property in the deadly California wildfires and later received a $2.5M insurance payout. The couple married in January 2026. K believed her husband would leverage her wealth into even larger wealth for both. But Lubaszka had plans of his own. He intended to use her money under the guise of a family “investment” multiplier opportunity —for what, exactly, remains unclear. To that end, he had registered Sovereign Wealth Fund Advisors LLC in Montana. He was caught before executing another alleged scam. And his promise that K would become part of a very powerful “organization” vanished overnight.

In June 2026, Lubaszka —who claims to embody Buddhist values— was charged. By then, the couple’s dreams were gone. So was K’s $300K investment in gold coins, which her billionaire-wannabe husband used to pay his $250K bond money. Court records show the bond was exonerated. Then, on September 9, 2026, the judge ordered a $25K bond.

Before his arrest, Montana PD Detective Nathan Casey obtained a search warrant for Lubaszka’s room at the Baymont Hotel in Helena. Court documents show he found five cell phones, one laptop, several electronic devices, cash in dollars and euros, gold coins and seven separate email accounts. He also recovered identification documents for Michael Morgan and Marc Lubaszka, including the fake Georgia driver’s license he used to rent the hotel room, a passport for Michael Morgan with stamps for recent international travel, financial documents for unknown individuals and the fake lease agreement.

Adding to our years-long coverage, Detective Casey’s investigation uncovered a web of luxury items and entities, including a fake $5.7 million belt supposedly designed by a fictional royal designer named “Grant Kingsley,” forged Faberge caviar spoon invoices valued at $3.2 million and a fake trust letter. By then it was clear that the “spark” K felt in late 2021 for Lubaszka had cost her dearly.

Court documents also show that around the time the couple met, Lubaszka told K he owned a private jet company. As Investor News revealed in 2021, Lubaszka was the owner of Fly Private X, a business registered in Delaware, which claimed to own fleets of jets to raise $35M from investors amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The company did not own a single jet. In Rottkov’s Instagram account (@dylanrawmusic), the former rapper and current Portland High football coach advertised himself as the VP of Lubaszka’s private jet company. His title was later scrubbed.

Portland High head football coach served as the VP of Fly Private X during the pandemic, alongside gold broker Marc Lubaszka and mushroom entrepreneur Hadari Oshri.
Rapper Dylan Raw advertised on his Instagram profile that he was the VP of Fly Private X. The information was deleted from his profile but still appeared in search results years ago.

Fly Private X was also tied to alleged attempts to sell over $370M in nonexistent PPE, as confirmed by exclusive documents obtained by Investor News and two individuals now behind bars, Arael Doolittle and Alaa Hattab. The attempts involved Israeli entrepreneur Hadari Oshri, whose fashion fairy empire, Xehar, left scores of unpaid workers years ago. Oshri now sells the mushroom supplement Mind Master through Gula World using a certificate of analysis (CoA) that SC Labs, the prestigious cannabis laboratory named in it, has called into question.

Also in 2021, Investor News reported Rottkov was principal of Buy Gold Brightly for one day before being replaced by former model Patrick Seller, aka “The Crypto King.” The gold company’s website claimed $3.4B in sales over 14 years and over 12.5M coins sold, despite only being formed in 2021. “A big thank you to the US Mint for allowing us to use their exclusive products,” said the company’s website before disappearing into the abyss.

For years, the documents, public records and evidence mapping this network have been in the possession of law enforcement and regulatory agencies —at the state and federal level, as reported in earlier installments. Attempts to scrub information from the public domain have never ceased, from Oshri’s embarrassing anti-SLAPP loss against this reporter, to 2021 legal threats from her counsel John Tamborelli, to platforms like Complaints Board wiping victims’ testimonies. In 2026 alone, this outlet has faced a wave of targeted surveillance, reconnaissance and hacking attempts against its infrastructure, with eight reports filed to the FBI’s IC3. Over the years, Investor News and La Cronista have learned that some sources and victims filed reports with various agencies, but fear of retaliation has paralyzed others.

THE UNHEARD

In January 2020, NY-born Ben Soleimani received a late-night phone call from Lubaszka. They first met at a hookah bar in DTLA through a mutual connection. In his mid twenties, Soleimani was easily impressed and lured into the conman’s orbit with promises of lucrative opportunities. The young entrepreneur did not hesitate and introduced Lubaszka to his models —a decision Soleimani would later regret.

“He wanted the girls to be flight attendants,” Soleimani explains. Lubaszka had sold him on the idea that his Fly Private X jets were parked in a Van Nuys hangar. It was not Lubaszka’s only lie, Soleimani says. “He pathologically fabricated his company was worth $900M.” He also had the keys to a Bentley —but no car. Soleimani knew Lubaszka as Marc Anderson and had no knowledge of Rottkov. But he was well aware of Lubaszka’s shady tactics of hiding behind his ghost assistant, Krista Collinsworth.

Soleimani’s models never made it onto the Fly Private X online roster, which Lubaszka had built using mostly stolen photos and bios of flight attendants and pilots. But the night of the phone call, two young models and some friends accompanied Soleimani to an apartment by Pershing Square, in the heart of DTLA.

“It looked like somebody was moving in there. There were a bunch of boxes,” Soleimani says. “He (Lubaszka) cursed at me ‘cos we were five minutes late. It was so tense. He was drinking. It was weird, weird laughs. Two of us left.” Two of the young women stayed with Lubaszka.

What Soleimani says happened next at that second floor apartment was not reported at the time by the alleged victims to law enforcement, despite his insistence. “She was crying, her make-up flowing down her face. I felt bad,” he says, referring to one of the models. “I called (the police) but they said she had to report it herself. She was psychologically ruined. She was scared. She wasn’t mentally mature to do it (to file a report).”

Soleimani admits there were “many red flags” in his handful of meetings with Lubaszka, including the gold broker’s demanding, dominant and forceful behavior, and a “very dark demeanor,” made more conspicuous by his suits, slick hair and clean cut.

“Because of my own greed, I was unable to see it,” Soleimani says. “That night I felt so terrible, like the biggest failure,” he adds, reflecting on the weight of a memory he spent years trying to bury. “I lost trust, respect, and credibility. But it built me to become better. It is a very hard reckoning memory. I tried to keep it as confidential as possible.”

After that incident, Soleimani cut Lubaszka out completely.

They were not the only ones caught in the trap. As documented in Part 2 of this series, two other models —unrelated to Soleimani— Niroshia Peltier and Sunessis de Brito, signed formal contracts with Lubaszka, even driving to Santa Barbara once to meet him. Like Soleimani, the moment Lubaszka’s carefully curated facade cracked and exposed the reality of the operation, they broke away completely.

MALIBU’S LUXURY MIRAGE BUILT ON PPE DEALS

As Fly Private X was rapidly losing cruising altitude and bracing for impact, Hadari Oshri was also funding her flashy, oceanfront Malibu lifestyle, pricey Rafi Lounge workouts and high-end social mingling through Trade Safe Pro. But the company came with its own layers of complexity.

While Trade Safe Pro was registered by Patrick Seller in Montana, Oshri registered a company with the same name in Florida and listed a second individual, Robert Wolf. As previously reported by Investor News, Wolf, who died on February 14, 2022, had not consented to being listed in company registration documents or social media promotions and demanded that his name be removed, as shown by text exchanges that Oshri voluntarily emailed this reporter in early 2021. In 2023, FL’s Trade Safe Pro corporate filings were modified to list David Roberts while retaining the same Florida address as Wolf.

Information obtained by Investor News and La Cronista exposes the day-to-day mechanics of Oshri’s PPE operation during the COVID-19 pandemic and how she leveraged Facebook Marketplace to solicit high-value wire transfers for product allocations.

In February 2021, Oshri shared with a potential client “proof of life” (POL), an industry term requiring a merchant to show ownership of the product being sold. She uploaded multiple photos to the chat showing her holding a blue box against a background of neatly stacked brown boxes. This same staging allowed bad actors with access to warehouses in the pandemic to take tours, record videos and take photos, pretending to own the inventory that belonged to another company. Upon closer visual inspection, the blue boxes Oshri holds in her hand or lays on a couch appear to be empty cardboard templates: unsealed, unglued corners, visibly warped, with pen marks and possibly no product inside.

In one Facebook message to a potential client, she confirmed she was acting as the middle person. “You are wiring to me and I am to the seller,” she wrote.

“It’s so hard to know who actually has the product,” said in an interview a few years ago Lanh Bowman, who temporarily worked with Oshri during the pandemic. “Based on my interactions with her, I don’t have a feeling that she ever owned a single product.”

Back in the pandemic, Bowman explained, it was increasingly challenging to distinguish between good procurement actors from bad ones. So he relocated from Florida to California to inspect the merchandise. “I have to basically see the product to believe it,” he says. “Here, CA, is the hub. This is where everything comes in, to CA, from Asia. This is where the market starts… and from here, it gets scattered out to different areas such as Miami, and then the Northeast.”

Bowman said his interactions with Oshri often turned erratic and argumentative. She frequently referred to him as “Pinocchio.” He never deciphered why. He also said she tried to convince him to move in with her at the stunning Malibu oceanfront property she still brags about on her website. The house was linked to Fly Private X and A1A Management before being reduced to ashes by the Malibu and Pacific Palisades wildfires.

Bowman never moved in.

His statements about California’s role in PPE distribution align with Oshri’s operational grounds. In one Facebook exchange with a potential customer, she claimed the product inspection would take place in an undisclosed location in Valencia, CA.

Her messages often revealed the chaotic nature of PPE operations, with sellers on Facebook listing specific highly valued inventory, including brands like Hongray, then turning around and offering “PPE-Aid,” or what Oshri referred to as the “private brand.” One message shows she offered two payment options: by check with next-day pick-up, or by wire with same-day pick-up.

In a March 2021 email exchange, Oshri called herself “one of the top suppliers in this industry.” To further establish her credibility, she shared a promotional article published in Influencive entitled “3 Fractures I See in the Global Supply Chain that May Tank Your Next Deal.” The article, a glorified account of her real role in PPE procurement, is no longer available online.

Oshri misspelled the name of her own company and engaged in a darkly comical exchange with a potential client.

Some sales attempts also turned darkly comical, like when a potential customer called out Oshri for listing the wrong company name on the invoice (Safe Trade Pro instead of Trade Safe Pro), or for an invoice number that would amuse mathematicians and bring them around her in profound awe: Invoice # 3399632235667.

And surely, some numbers just deserve to be spelled out: Three trillion, three hundred ninety-nine billion, six hundred thirty-two million, two hundred thirty-five thousand, six hundred sixty-seven.

“I send same invoice for so many people, didn’t pay attention to that part of the invoice,” Oshri replied. “And by the way when you are offering payment with check it’s look like you are not A legit buyer…”

The invoice listed Wolf’s Florida address —not Oshri’s Malibu headquarters— for Trade Safe Pro. But it also listed another payer company, “Pay Master Services Pro.” Public records show that Trade Safe Pro and Paymaster Services Pro operated under another Montana-registered company: Shades of Grey. Behind them was Seller, “The Crypto King.” The transaction, involving $13,500 in exchange for 1000 boxes of nitrile gloves, was never completed.

Long gone are the days of PPE glory for Oshri, who is now fully immersed in her mushroom, meditation and wellness empire. Facing allegations that her mushroom supplement Mind Master is tied to a forged Certificate of Analysis (CoA), her latest enterprise appears built on a rocky foundation. But she remains in high spirits.

In one of her stellar events recently shared on social media, she posed for the camera in a long, off-white hippie dress, oversized dark shades and a white headband wrapped around her hair. It was, indeed, the perfect attire for the perfect occasion.

“We designed this event to create superhuman, to discover the superhuman that we all have, all this power just eating, eating inside us,” said the wellness guru in response to the host, who rebranded Oshri as “Hadara.”

“How do you find your light and how do you make it shine?… That’s what the creator sent me to do here,” concluded Oshri.

THE HUMAN WRECKAGE

Lubaszka is due in court on December 16, 2026, for his May 2026 alleged crimes. But for his prior victims and those impacted by his actions, the impunity has simply dragged on for too long.

“What else do they (law enforcement) need that they haven’t had for years?” wonders one anonymous source.

At 81 years old, Steve Gern, a disabled veteran, knows it well. The cracks in his soul have become permanent scars. He has given up. “That is not an easy thing for me to do,” he says. “Time has come to let it go.”

His email lands as a freezing cold, heartbreaking dose of reality for me, too. His crushing words are the final realization that nothing serves this tragic series better than its title: The Harrowing Impunity of White-Collar Crime.

I take a deep breath, sit back for a few minutes and put it all to rest. Then I read his final words one last time:

“Once again, thank you for all your efforts over the years.” “You and many victims were the only ones that showed any interest.”

After years feeling abandoned by the system, it’s wrenching to see Steve finally resign. But nobody can blame him. It appears, though, that the tide may be turning. A ray of hope lingers over the horizon, and Montana may finally deliver the closure he and other victims have long awaited.
