Years after a high-stakes corporate fiasco tied to phantom jets, PPE procurement and gold coins, two former business partners are staging simultaneous comebacks —one leading Portland High’s football team in Maine, the other pushing a wellness, spirituality and mushroom supplements brand in California.

They are almost a country apart. 

On the pebbly beaches of the East Coast, one has built a visible career as a locally celebrated high school sports coach and youth mentor. On the stunning, sun-drenched shores of the West Coast, the other operates as a meditation guru and biohacking expert, offering spiritual and expensive mentorship opportunities, while selling promises to help fight anxiety and “stimulate the growth of brain cells” through her signature mushroom supplement Mind Master. 

This is a tale of two coasts and two former business partners: Dylan Rottkov and Hadari Oshri.

Years after their shared Fly Private X fiasco with gold broker Marc Lubaszka collapsed under the weight of unfulfilled multimillion-dollar PPE sales and nonexistent private jets ––or “jests,” as Oshri baptized them in court documents––, stubborn rebranding efforts have pulled both back into the spotlight. 

The East Coast: The Inaugural Season Under Review

At Maine’s Portland High, head football coach Rottkov is preparing his team for their September 4, 2026 matchup during his publicized inaugural season, a position he balances with his leadership role as President of non-profit Blue Wave Basketball.

Official staff biographies for the organization describe him as a “decorated football and basketball coach at both Portland High School and Yarmouth High School” —despite a resume consisting of lower-level assistant and coordination roles rather than a history of leading those programs. The organization site and his X profile also list Rottkov as the owner of Blue Wave Basketball, an impossibility given that it’s a non-profit. 

Rottkov has, too, been crafting a local media rebranding effort to promote his transformation from a Hollywood Hills-based rapper and foreign car lover to a high-character mentor. But his past is catching up to him just as fast.

After the initial stonewalling regarding his highly celebrated appointment, the school administration broke its silence after two missed media inquiry deadlines and released a statement:

“Pursuant to the requirements of Maine law, the Portland Public Schools is not permitted to disclose information concerning individual employees and we are thus unable to respond to many of your questions. What we can tell you is that, prior to hiring all employees, we conduct a background check through the state of Maine and require possession of a current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) or Maine DOE (Department of Education) certification. As of April 2026, per newly adopted legislation (LD2192) that came into effect at that time, we also conduct a review of applicable DOE records. If any of these inquiries reveals information suggesting the applicant may not be fit for a position in the district, we engage in further investigation before making a hiring decision.”

Rottkov’s hiring and appointment announcement, however, came a few months before the April 2026 emergency policy was adopted. 

Behind this legislation is Cara Courchesne, a mother from Lewiston, Maine, who claimed she had been sexually harassed by an elementary school employee in 2005.

“I learned via a simple Google search that in November 2024, he (Courchesne’s alleged harasser, not Rottkov) had left his position as an assistant principal in southern Maine amidst sexual harassment allegations. In February 2025, Lewiston Public Schools hired him as an ed tech,” Courchesne said in her testimony in support of LD 2192 on February 24, 2026.

While her advocacy successfully pushed the emergency framework into law, the resulting statute still carries built-in limitations. LD 2192 strictly targets school-level employee misconduct —such as drugs, alcohol, harassment, physical, sexual or emotional abuse or inappropriate contact with students and other employees. But the legislation is fundamentally unequipped to look outward and flag private civil disputes, uncharged private financial schemes or defunct corporate paper trails outside of Maine. 

Even beyond the boundaries of the statute, standard criminal background checks generally do not reveal potential law enforcement or regulatory agency investigations unless formal charges have been filed or indictments unsealed. Some investigations, including those of financial and business nature, are also notorious for dragging on for years. 

In its statement, the school also admitted no prior knowledge of the revelations described in A Special Report: The Harrowing Impunity of White-Collar Crime, such as Rottkov’s ties to Fly Private X and Buy Gold Brightly. This includes a 2021 on-the-record interview with Investor News in which the then-rapper described chasing money through luxury jet and gold ventures, brushing off Lubaszka’s tumultuous past business history because it happened long ago and insisting he was not Lubaszka’s “victim.” Meanwhile, Fly Private X was simultaneously leveraged by Oshri in alleged attempts to sell $370 million in nonexistent COVID-19 PPE, according to documents obtained by Investor News, felon Arael Doolittle’s attorney and Alaa Hattab. The latter entrepreneur pleaded guilty in November 2023 in a New Jersey federal court to conspiring to defraud investors of more than $35M.

“We can also say that reading the articles that you shared with us was the first time we heard the information you described,” the school said. An online search, however, would likely have surfaced these reports. 

The school has not confirmed whether it plans to conduct an internal audit, and whether Rottkov will remain in his position throughout the football season. But under Maine’s LD 2192, the school may not have a legal mandate to initiate a formal probe into out-of-state past business dealings because these events would fall outside the scope of a ‘covered investigation.’ 

The news regarding Rottkov’s background may come as a sharp shock in a district that prides itself on diversity and protecting vulnerable, economically disadvantaged communities. In a progressive city like Portland that serves as a “Safe Haven” for students without papers, discovering that a prominent youth mentor is tied to past questionable business ventures risks eroding local trust —raising difficult questions for families, regular students and school officials alike about how thoroughly the district is required to screen the adults placed in positions of authority and whether the school might potentially become a target for official agencies’ inquiries.

The West Coast: Once a Fashion Fairy visionary, Hadari Oshri is now reaching new heights with her latest mushroom supplements venture 

Almost a continent away in California, former fashion fairy visionary Oshri just executed a massive public relations stunt. And surely, she had to take to social media to boast about it: a 300-attendee promotional experience for her new brand, mushroom supplement Mind Master, created under her Wyoming-registered corporation Gula World, which, despite HIPAA-related compliance (which does not apply to the supplements sector) and other sweeping claims on the company’s website, seems to be reaching cruising altitude ––at least for now. 

“Carefully formulated with five powerful kinds of mushrooms, this blend delivers a full spectrum of benefits from stimulating the growth of brain cells, boosting serotonin, reducing Information [sic], and supporting your immune system, to enhancing focus, energy, and mood,” says Gulaworld.com. 

It can only be assumed that, by “reducing Information,” Oshri may have meant inflammation.

To build an aura of alleged clinical validity, Gula World’s mushroom website (mindmaster.life) boldly asserts that Mind Master won the Physician’s Choice Award in 2025. Neither Gula World nor Mind Master is among the winners announced on the NDNR (Naturopathic Doctor News & Review) website. A request for comment to the NDNR editor went unanswered by publication date. 

The Mind Master’s website further claims that the product has been “third-party tested” for potency, mold, heavy metals and toxicity, “so you can be sure about what you’re putting in your body.” A downloadable Certificate of Analysis (CoA) appears next to this claim. Named in the document is SC Laboratories (also known as SC Labs), a CA-licensed, accredited testing laboratory with facilities across the country that provides potency and contaminant testing for cannabis, hemp and other products. 

“The CoA you provided is not an official CoA of SC Laboratories,” said in an email Jeff Dingman, technical sales manager at SC Laboratories. “We have no record of this company (Gula World) as a client or the sample being tested by SC Laboratories.” 

Dingman added that all SC Laboratories CoAs contain a QR code to verify the report. “When a sample is tested for a regulated market, the associated QR code is public, and scanning it directs the user to our website, where the sample and testing information can be independently verified,” he explained. Dingman also noted that when SC Laboratories identifies fraudulent use of its data, CoAs or company name, “we will contact that company directly and request that the material be corrected or removed. If they are unwilling to do so, the matter may be escalated through formal legal channels.”

As of September 1, 2026, other assertions by the mushroom brand include that it is the number one best-selling mushroom powder in the US. Also, its “team of PhD scientists formulated Mind Master around well-studied functional mushrooms used for centuries.” However, the names of these scientists are not disclosed, preventing any independent verification of this or other product safety claims. 

But it’s the FAQ section of Gulaworld.com that provides insight into an unexpected vertical for the company: the sale of weight loss and diabetes prescription injections Semaglutide and Tirzepatide for $259 and $399 for the first month, respectively. Doctors’ identities, credentials, medical licenses, physical practice locations, pharmacy partners, insurance or regulatory disclaimers are not available anywhere on the website, other than the HIPAA compliant stamp in the footer. The only address listed on the website is that of the company’s registration agent in Wyoming. 

Gula World’s Return Policy page also warns that “All products we offer are non-refundable. Our medications are ordered specifically per patient and therefore cannot be refunded. We have a ‘no refund policy.’”

The cherry on top is that clicking on the website’s “Mental Health” label routes the user directly to the mushroom product. 

Present at the flashy mushroom event was Oshri’s “internal team,” including David Behrend, CEO of publicly traded Hubilu Venture Corporation. In 2025, Behrend submitted a federal form with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to the document, Behrend’s company injected $80,940 of cash into Gula Entities, a web of corporations that included Gula World, Gula Health and Gaya Ventures Inc. 

In exchange for the investment, Hubilu obtained 16 million shares of Gaya, 1.6 million of Gula Health, 1.6 million of Gula World and the 50% “Gift a Friend” referral royalties. 

FL public records show that Gaya Ventures was administratively dissolved in 2025. As previously reported by Investor News, the now-defunct company website listed convicted pharmaceutical businessman Orlando Birbragher as CIO. 

By December 2024, Behrend had written off the Gula Entities investment as a loss. An Equity Stake & Investment Agreement shows Behrend became co-founder of all three Gula Entities (“INC”) on July 2, 2024. Public documents also list him as the Gula World director in 2025. His name was dropped a year later. 

In a statement to Investor News and La Cronista, Behrend, on behalf of his publicly traded company, said:

“This is exciting to hear from you (Aitana) about your path of exploration (into Gula World). Hubilu is a minor shareholder in GulaWorld and our holding is limited to investment only. We invested in GulaWorld and Hadari Oshri, based on the future potential of MindMaster as a game changer in people living healthier lives and exploring their personal growth, and Ms Oshri’s vision to execute on such. Our involvement in GulaWorld, and my life choices, are about now, and the future, not the past. That is a core philosophy of GulaWorld. I have never heard the name Orlando Birbragher, and as that person was not involved in Gula Companies at the time of Hubilu investment, it would be of no relevance. Regarding components and analysis of Mind Master, I personally met the lead scientist before Hubilu invested, but I refer you to Ms Oshri, who is cc’d on this email, to answer all questions product and scientific related.”

Behrend did not respond to a follow-up question about the 2025 award Mind Master’s website claims to have won. A reviewer identified as ‘David B.’ also left two glowing testimonials of the mushroom product on the Gula World site. 

While the paper trail appears to signal the Gula conglomerate struggles to stay afloat in the largely unregulated wellness industry, Oshri still keeps an indispensable asset close to her chest: her attorney, John Tamborelli, whom she publicly thanked for “opening his beautiful home” to physically host the mushroom event. 

Tamborelli, a prominent California-based civil attorney, has acted as Oshri’s legal shield multiple times, including a case where he invoked a whopping 46 legal defenses. They lost. The duo was also named in a personal injury case that was eventually dismissed by the plaintiffs. In a 2021 email, Tamborelli stated he represented those copied in the email thread: namely, Oshri, Lubaszka, Fly Private X, and surprisingly, Lubaszka’s nonexistent assistant, Krista Collinsworth. 

As previously reported by Investor News, Tamborelli is also behind attempts to silence this investigative series, including a 2021 cease-and-desist email he sent to this reporter at the instructions of Oshri. His threats were met with a letter from the National Writers Union (NWU), which demanded that he stop all legal intimidation. And to his credit, he stopped. Ironically, one of Tamborelli’s stellar legal cases successfully made it all the way to the California Supreme Court, culminating in the 2019 landmark Rand Resources v. City of Carson anti-SLAPP proceedings where he represented co-defendants fighting over free speech and petitioning rights ––much like my anti-SLAPP win against Oshri in 2021, a battle to which she showed up with a formidable team of criminal defense attorneys who filed no sworn declaration, no admissible evidence and still threw everything at this reporter. The judge was not happy. Ultimately, an embarrassing loss for the Oshri team. This time, Tamborelli had decided to sit it out. 

Most recently, Investor News reported that, in May 2021, Oshri filed an affidavit with the Los Angeles Superior Court in a restraining order case. The document bore the logo and the name of Ohio-based company Digital Forensics Corporation (DFC), which has long maintained it did not produce it. Tamborelli represented Oshri in this case. 

“We can confirm, however, that the name in your email and in the affidavit (“Hadari Oshri”) is not a listed client of DFC,” Jeromy Simonovic, an attorney for the company, said to this reporter in an email in 2022. “It appears that the affidavit you provided in your email is not an original affidavit produced by our Company, as it has been altered. We are conducting a further investigation into this matter and cannot provide you with any further comments at this time.”

The company added: “It does not appear that our company has had any contact with the attorney referenced in your email.”

This case ultimately settled in 2021, but not before Tamborelli had inserted a provision into a third-party stipulation agreement requiring the respondent to instruct this reporter to scrub all published posts mentioning Oshri, Lubaszka, and Tamborelli himself.

Tamborelli’s demand has never been honored –by me.

Complaintsboard.com first falsely marked complaints against Marc Lubaszka’s defunct Aurum Advisors and Gold Coins Gain as “investigated” and “resolved,” then deleted them entirely. Now, the offshore company is back with a brand-new bogus excuse.

One month after our reporting exposed their shady takedowns, Complaints Board has done a complete 180 —restoring a wiped-out thread and hoping victims will buy their brand-new, manufactured excuse.

“I can confirm that the thread had been removed due to prolonged inactivity over a number of years,” an unnamed senior manager claimed in a recent email to Investor News.

Even with the thread back, this flimsy explanation is a fresh slap in the face for Marc Lubaszka’s tens of victims. For over a decade, defrauded investors have demanded that law enforcement take decisive action against the gold broker and his network, as detailed in A Special Report: The Harrowing Impunity of White-Collar Crime.

Complaints Board’s latest stance directly contradicts its own published guidelines, which contain zero provisions for “prolonged inactivity” deletions:

“We do not remove complaints unless we receive an officially signed court order,” even if they are resolved. The site also states that the company does not remove complaints that comply with its Complaint Guidelines and claim to be free speech proponents.As of August 27, 2026, Investor News has not located a single signed court order in which a judge ordered the removal of complaints about Lubaszka or his gold companies from Complaintsboard.com. Furthermore, the platform’s new posturing fails to explain why it originally slapped “investigated” and “resolved” tags on grievances that remain glaringly unresolved.

The “prolonged inactivity” defense collapses entirely under basic scrutiny. The thread in question experienced nearly a decade of sparse engagement —sitting mostly quiet and only interrupted by isolated posts in April 2014 and August 2020, followed by another quiet stretch from August 2020 to February 2022— yet it was obliterated after surging into high activity in 2022.

Among the resuscitated grievances is that of disabled and retired US veteran Steve Gern, who lost nearly $50,000 to Lubaszka’s defunct Aurum Advisors and Gold Coins Gain and never saw a dime returned.

Other restored comments expose deeper webs, referencing Lubaszka’s copycat gold venture, Buy Gold Brightly. Registered in Montana, the shell company listed former rapper-turned-Portland High football coach Dylan Rottkov as principal before he was replaced by self-anointed “Crypto King” Patrick Seller. The rescued thread also highlights Fly Private X, a Delaware-registered private jet company where Rottkov served as VP. As one user noted, Lubaszka “tried to get me to sell his imaginary jets” before making other more serious allegations. 

Fly Private X was simultaneously leveraged by Hadari Oshri —current CEO of Gula World and creator of the Mind Master mushroom supplement— in alleged attempts to sell $370 million in nonexistent COVID-19 PPE, according to the attorney for felon Arael Doolittle and Alaa Hattab, who pleaded guilty in November 2023 in a New Jersey federal court to conspiring to defraud investors of more than $35M and was also charged by the SEC.

It remains to be seen whether Complaints Board will actively notify impacted customers that their voices are welcome on the platform again. When pressed over a month ago, the company steadfastly refused to identify who ordered the original takedowns.

While Complaints Board scrambles to rewrite its own history, attempts to suppress victim grievances and news stories continue across the web. This summer, Google search results for Oshri’s alleged PPE schemes and failed legal battles were scrubbed and replaced with sushi, manga and irrelevant content, while Rottkov makes local TV rounds in Maine to rebrand his image and discuss his “unconventional” journey from rapper to mentor at Portland High.

From phantom private jets to $3.4B in fake gold sales, school officials stonewall inquiries into coach and former rapper Dylan Rottkov’s past executive ties to Marc Lubaszka and Hadari Oshri

Silence. Deafening silence.

This has been the response Investor News and La Cronista have received to our request to Portland High School regarding the appointment of former rapper Dylan Rottkov as head football coach for the upcoming season.

Repeated inquiries sent to Principal Sarah Obare, Athletic Director Spencer Allen, and Communications Director Tess Nacelewicz —including extensive documentation of prior fraud allegations— went unanswered prior to publication.

The school did not provide any comments on whether Rottkov had disclosed details about his prior executive roles in two now-defunct corporations: Fly Private X, a private jet company with phantom jets registered in Delaware for which Rottkov served as VP and Marc Lubaszka as President, and Buy Gold Brightly, a gold company registered in Montana that listed the football coach as principal before being replaced by the self-described Crypto King, Patrick Seller.

Details on Rottkov’s participation in alleged schemes have been documented for years in A Special Report: The Harrowing Impunity of White-Collar Crime, an award-winning exposé published in Investor News that is now available in La Cronista.

In a press release published on the school’s website on February 2, 2026, Rottkov stated that he was “fully committed to developing young men of character, accountability, and discipline, while building a competitive football program that will make our school proud.”

The former VP of Fly Private X added: “Portland High School has a foundation of rich tradition and excellence. I am looking forward to working, along with my staff, to uphold a standard that all former and current Bulldogs can be proud of.”

His appointment, however, raises concerning questions about the school’s and district’s role in thoroughly vetting individuals placed in roles of mentorship and authority over minors and teenagers in Maine’s largest and most diverse school district —where more than half of all district students are economically disadvantaged and roughly 51% are students of color.

These questions were also not addressed in a light feature that aired on local TV station NEWS CENTER Maine highlighting Rottkov’s “unconventional” journey from rapper to student mentor in Maine.

In the glorified piece, Rottkov, whose mother is running for public office in South Portland, spoke candidly about his past aspirations of becoming an NBA player in his early years and his later transition to a rap career marked by condos nestled in the Hollywood Hills and foreign cars.

This portrayal, however, left out crucial details tied to his rapper years: his participation in alleged schemes with gold broker Lubaszka, current Gula World CEO Hadari Oshri and former model Seller. The rapper made no mention of the nonexistent fleet of private jets Fly Private X claimed to own, the company’s alleged $370M in failed attempts at procuring much-needed PPE during the COVID-19 pandemic and the false $3.4B in sales over a 14-year period the Buy Gold Brightly site claimed. Some of these operations were linked to a luxurious Malibu beachfront property later decimated by the deadly January 2025 wildfires.

The local TV profile aired weeks after La Cronista launched its dedicated hub for the years-long award-winning investigative series. La Cronista and Investor News reached out to NEWS CENTER Maine for comment regarding the broadcast segment, but no response was received prior to publication.

Rottkov, currently the President of Blue Wave Basketball Club in Portland (a non-profit of which he also lists himself as the owner), was a football player and captain at South Portland High School. Yet local roots should not replace rigorous institutional review.

Scandals from elite universities like USC and UCLA —where athletic programs prioritized marquee hires and wins over institutional integrity and compliance— proved that administrative oversight may fail when sports are involved. Now, similar questions are turning inward at the secondary school level in Maine’s largest district, where Portland High officials are refusing to answer how a figure linked to corporate fraud allegations was handed the keys to a youth and mentorship program.

Department of Justice (DOJ) – The Justice Department announced today that a federal court has entered a stipulated order against Amazon.com Inc., in a case investigated and referred to the Department by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The order resolves allegations that Amazon violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and it requires Amazon to pay a $2.25 million civil penalty and follow practices that protect consumers whose identities have been stolen.

In a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the government alleged that Amazon violated FCRA by failing to provide identity theft victims with requested records of transactions involving people believed to have fraudulently used those victims’ identification, and by failing to provide those records within 30 days of a request. The court’s stipulated order resolving the case imposes a $2.25 million civil penalty and requires Amazon to provide its records of transactions alleged to have been the result of identity theft to victims who request them, free of charge within 30 days of the request, subject to verification of the victim’s identity and claim of identity theft. Amazon must also post a notice to its website informing identity theft victims of how they can request those records.

“Consumers whose identities have been stolen should not face unnecessary red tape when they investigate how their identities were misused and seek to clear their names,” said Assistant Attorney General Brett A. Shumate of the Justice Department’s Civil Division. “The Justice Department will continue working with the Federal Trade Commission to protect identity theft victims.”

The United States is represented in this action by Assistant Directors Lory D. Alexander and Zachary A. Dietert from the Enforcement Section of the Civil Division’s Enforcement and Affirmative Litigation Branch, in coordination with staff from the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection.

Department of Justice (DOJ) – A federal jury in the Middle District of Florida convicted an Oklahoma business owner and chiropractor yesterday for his role in a yearslong scheme that attempted to bilk Medicare, TRICARE, and the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA) out of over $30 million by purchasing patient information, medical practitioners’ signatures, and doctors’ orders for orthotic braces and glucose monitors that patients did not want or need.

“The defendant turned private medical data into a pipeline for personal profit,” said Assistant Attorney General Colin M. McDonald of the Justice Department’s National Fraud Enforcement Division. “Every fake doctor’s order generated was a direct attack on systems built to care for some of our nation’s most vulnerable. Yesterday’s verdict makes clear that if you exploit our seniors and military families to fill your own pockets, you will answer for every dollar stolen.”

“The defendant bought patient data and used it to generate sham medical orders, targeting seniors and people with disabilities for exploitation. This scheme sought to drain millions from federal health care programs meant to support Americans in need,” said Miranda L. Bennett, Acting Deputy Inspector General for Investigations at the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. “This verdict makes clear that HHS OIG and our law enforcement partners will hold accountable anyone who tries to defraud these programs or prey on the people they serve.”

According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Mark Loftis, 39, of Cushing, Oklahoma, paid over a million dollars to marketers who worked with call centers to persuade elderly and disabled Americans to provide their personal information, including their health insurance information. Loftis and his co-conspirators then used that information to obtain signed orders for orthotic braces and continuous glucose monitors that were generated by telemedicine doctors and nurse practitioners who never examined, and often never spoke to the patients. Loftis and his co-conspirators used these doctors’ orders to bill federal health care programs. Loftis also concealed a conspirator’s management role in his company and his billing of claims generated by other unenrolled medical suppliers. In total, Loftis obtained over $8 million from the false and fraudulent claims. Loftis continued the scheme for three years despite receiving a steady stream of complaints from beneficiaries and family members of beneficiaries who reported that their elderly parents suffered from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, making them especially vulnerable to the sales tactics of Loftis’s conspirators.

The jury convicted Loftis of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 7, 2026, and faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

HHS-OIG, FBI, DCIS, and VA-OIG investigated the case.

Acting Assistant Chief Catherine Wagner and Trial Attorney Raymond Beckering III of the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section prosecuted the case.

On April 7, the Department of Justice announced the creation of the Fraud Division. The Fraud Division is laser-focused on investigating and prosecuting those who commit fraud against the American people. The Department’s work to combat fraud supports President Trump’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, a whole-of-government effort chaired by Vice President J.D. Vance to eliminate fraud, waste and abuse within Federal benefit programs.

The Department of Justice’s Health Care Fraud Strike Force Program, currently comprised of nine strike forces operating in federal districts across the country, has charged more than 6,200 defendants who collectively billed federal health care programs and private insurers more than $45 billion since 2007. In addition, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, working in conjunction with the Office of the Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services, are taking steps to hold providers accountable for their involvement in health care fraud schemes. Department of Justice (DOJ) – Jeffrey Garth Ewing, of Iowa, agreed to waive his bankruptcy discharge of more than $17.7 million in debts after an investigation by the Department of Justice’s U.S. Trustee Program (USTP). The USTP’s investigation found that Ewing had transferred nearly $400,000 to companies he controlled to shield the funds from his creditors.

On June 15, the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Iowa approved Ewing’s voluntary waiver. As a result, Ewing remains liable for his debts and creditors are free to pursue payment from him after the case is closed.

“Debtors who seek to defraud their creditors also attack the integrity of the bankruptcy system. The USTP remains vigilant to keep the system strong and fair,” said Acting U.S. Trustee Mary Jensen of Region 12, which includes the Southern District of Iowa.

Ewing developed housing communities for older adults throughout the Midwest. In March 2024, Ewing and his wife filed chapter 11 reorganization cases on behalf of themselves as well as several of their businesses, but the bankruptcy cases were dismissed a month later for failure to file required bankruptcy documents.

In January 2025, Ewing and his wife filed a chapter 7 liquidation case. Ewing claimed that the couple had loaned nearly $400,000 to three of their businesses after the chapter 11 dismissals but before the chapter 7 filing. However, an investigation by the USTP’s Des Moines, Iowa, office found evidence that Ewing had transferred the funds to hide them from his creditors between the bankruptcy filings. The loans had no documentation except in one instance that relied on a promissory note that Ewing admitted to backdating. Ewing also asserted that the couple’s adult children owned two of the companies but the USTP’s investigation found that Ewing maintained control of the businesses’ finances.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: On June 22, 2021, Hadari Oshri –Marc Lubaszka’s business partner– filed a civil harassment restraining order (CHRO) against Investor News reporter Aitana Vargas to stop the publication of her investigative series “A Special Report: The Harrowing Impunity of White-Collar Crime,” and any subsequent installments or future media coverage. On August 3, 2021, Vargas filed an anti-SLAPP motion to strike Oshri’s CHRO petition. In a hearing held on September 13, 2021, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Doreen Boxer granted Vargas’s anti-SLAPP motion and denied Oshri’s civil harassment petition for failure to sustain the applicable burden of proof. CA’s powerful anti-SLAPP statute demands that the prevailing defendant be granted attorney’s fees for filing a frivolous case. The Israeli entrepreneur also declined to go on a recorded interview or provide statements via email.

First, the complaints were falsely marked as “resolved.” Then, they were wiped out and replaced by a 404 error. 

For Marc Lubaszka’s tens of victims, witnessing their grievances disappear overnight from the controversial platform Complaints Board is the ultimate slap in the face, after more than a decade of unresolved claims, mockery and deceit, including Lubaszka’s phony settlement offer through Emerging Market Technology Management, as detailed in A Special Report: The Harrowing Impunity of White-Collar Crime.

Among the removed complaints are those from disabled and retired US veteran Steve Gern, who lost nearly $50,000 with Lubaszka’s defunct Aurum Advisors and Gold Coins Gain and never received his money back. 

The company website, which has gone through an aesthetic makeover, states that “We do not remove complaints unless we receive an officially signed court order,” even if they are resolved. They also state the company does not remove complaints that comply with its Complaint Guidelines and claim to be First Amendment proponents.  

The last snapshot captured by Wayback Machine in 2021 shows numerous complaints against Lubaszka’s gold venture and his team going back to 2009. One comment referencing Lubaszka’s business ties to fashion fairy entrepreneur Hadari Oshri did not appear in this snapshot. In the archived record, the platform claimed that “the complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction” – a claim sharply refuted by victims who remain uncompensated. 

In a statement to Investor News, Complaints Board said: “We very frequently find ourselves pushing back against companies and individuals who attempt to bully us into removing content they simply don’t like.”

Complaints Board, however, failed to provide a valid reason for the removal of all complaints against Lubaszka’s gold businesses and refused to identify who initiated such takedowns. The company ghosted when pressed for a signed court order or confirmation that the complaints had been “resolved.” 

As of July 24, 2026, Investor News has not located a single signed court record in which a judge ordered the removal of complaints about Lubaszka or his gold companies from Complaintsboard.com, but it has located multiple lawsuits involving Complaints Board’s parent company, Mediolex, LTD, which the platform successfully survived. 

The company website claims to operate from Latvia and lists a US phone number that consumers may not use to file complaints. 

This and other attempts to suppress victims’ grievances and media coverage have been documented throughout the years by Investor News, this reporter, and La Cronista, all of which have been targeted by cyberattacks. Recent Google search results show that images related to Oshri’s alleged PPE scheme and failed legal battles have been replaced by sushi, manga and irrelevant content.
